The Soul of a Poem

The soul of a poem is angry and sad
It rips at the flesh
It screams when it's mad
The soul of a poem is happy and joyful
It smiles and laughs
It thinks life is wonderful
The sould of a poem
Is dark and deep
It tells hidden meanings
And tells secrets it keeps
The soul of a poem is bright and fun
It giggles with delight
When it's out in the sun
The soul of a poem is everything you see
It's the girls
     It's the boys
          It's the animals
               It's the trees
The soul of a poem is all emotion
Every word
     Every thought
          Every memory
               You've got
The soul of a poem is
And always will be
As long as we keep on thinking
And expressing our creativity
